Do you like my dress? ⁣ ⁣ Are you about my size (UK18)? Do you live in #London? Want to borrow it?? Well you can. In addition to borrowing a few other choice pieces from my #wardrobe of things I don’t wear enough.⁣ ⁣ @theNuWardrobe is hosting a party on November 13th for people size UK16 and up and I’d love for you to come. They’ll be nibbles, drinks and #CLOTHES. That’s right, by joining the app you’ll be allowed to take home something new for your wardrobe (to list on the app and share with others).⁣ ⁣ So I’ll be bringing at least five pieces from my own closet but on top of that we’re also working with a few size inclusive ethical designers to make sure there’s enough sizes to go around ♥️. Come to see what’s on the racks, because I gotta tell you I’m pretty jazzed about that bit. I can also totally talk to you about styling your new piece as well.⁣ ⁣ What is @TheNuWardrobe? It’s a wardrobe sharing app which allows folks within a certain location to borrow from each other’s wardrobes. When The Nu team reached out to me about helping with an event I was moved by how thoughtful they were about being size inclusive on the app and so I agreed to help them grow that part of their audience. Everyone deserves to dress themselves and share wardrobes. Sustainable ventures should be for all bodies. Check out their Instagram for more information but I’ll share a link to the tickets in stories today. Come hang out with me and let’s talk fashion in the flesh while sipping drinks ♥️⁣ ⁣ [Image description: Aja is wearing a blue and white striped dress and standing in front of a colourful wall at @theNuWardrobe’s last party. The dress came from the party and she was surprised to find her size … she never expects to see her size at these things if she’s honest. She knows what that feels like and that’s why she’s pleased and proud to work with @thenuwardrobe on this. But this isn’t a paid post, so you know. Just wanted to tell you about the party because folks always ask when they’ll be a meet up and if ever there were one, this is definitely the place.]⁣

I recently had an interview with @meetdaye who are a new company innovating the women’s mensural market with brilliant products. We talked about mindful consumption, storytelling and Stories Behind Things.⁣ ⁣ “We wanted to create a space for connection and storytelling to have a positive effect on the planet and our mental health. We believe that pressure from the media to consume has a substantial knock-on effect to women’s mental health. Since starting this platform we constantly receive feedback from women telling us how we inspire them to reconnect with the positive associations of what they interact with on a daily basis – which makes us very happy!”
